Broiled Green Beans Almondine



This broiled green beans almondine recipe is a tasty and nutty take on traditional green beans that is quick, simple, and full of flavor.

Ingredients:

  • 1 lb fresh green beans, trimmed
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1/3 cup slivered almonds
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Lemon wedges for serving

Instructions:

Preheat broiler on high

Blanch green beans in boiling water for 2 minutes, then transfer to an ice bath to cool

In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat

Add slivered almonds and toast until golden brown

Add minced garlic to the skillet and saut for 1-2 minutes until fragrant

Add blanched green beans to the skillet and toss to coat with the almond and garlic mixture

Season with salt and pepper

Transfer the coated green beans to a broiler-safe dish and broil for 3-5 minutes until beans are slightly charred

Serve hot, garnished with additional slivered almonds and lemon wedges
